When is Long Beach Gives?

Join our Be A Hero team by donating or becoming a Peer2Peer supporter during Long Beach Gives. Early giving starts September 17th and the big day is September 24th.

How can I support Long Beach Gives?

Joining the team is fast and easy. To set up your own web page, go to our page https://donate.longbeachgives.org/for-the-child and follow the simple instructions. Once your website is set up, beginning September 17th you can invite your friends and family to join you in changing a child’s life, and they too can be a hero.

*If setting up a website is not your thing, please know you can still be a member of the Be A Hero team! If you prefer to give directly, know that your donation is what makes our work possible. And, your donation can serve as a Challenge Gift that creates excitement and doubles the value of our on-line giving event.

The support you give and the money you raise will help cover the costs of critical needs:

• Crisis intervention for children who have been abused.
• Mental health treatment to help children recover.
• Emergency supplies for our fragile families who have been hard hit by COVID-19.

Who is Long Beach Gives?

Following the lead of the Josephine S. Gumbiner Foundation, other community stakeholders have joined the Steering Committee including individuals from: The Nonprofit Partnership, Long Beach Community Foundation, Munzer Foundation, The California Endowment, Funraise, and Arts Council for Long Beach.
