We are open and help during Covid-19 prevention efforts!

For The Child is dedicated to building healthy lives for children and families. As an essential services mental health agency, we are OPEN and have been open and serving the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of our team has been vaccinated and we make your child and family’s safety a priority with temperature screening, health screening, social distancing, and frequent sanitizing and facility cleaning.

Our dedicated team of therapists provides in-person and telehealth (virtual) help for children, teens, and their parents. Call us at 562 422-8472 to schedule an intake appointment. Our Child Abuse Response Team (CART) works closely with law enforcement and Forensic Nurse Specialists to provide in-person advocacy support to children, teens, and young adults during SART Team callouts.

Kids’ Place Children’s Waiting Rooms (drop-in childcare) at the LA County Superior Courthouses have been closed by the court until further notice.

We closely monitor the recommendations from the Governor, LA County Department of Mental Health, the Long Beach Health Department, and the Centers for Disease Control to keep our staff and community members safe and well.
